We are starting to think about counter tops and are looking for suggestions. We are open to using more than one material. We have been focusing on concrete, butcher block and paper stone. We have heard pros and cons to to all of these. We want a material that is affordable as well as durable. Please share your experience!
I'm still a fan of good ol' formica--lots of colors, not too pricey. Also knew someone who was able to get a nice hunk of wood (a lane) from an old bowling alley as their counter. Loved that idea, though may be a bit rare.
I'm not that into granite, at least what I've witnessed at my parents' house--grease and prints seem to stick around and smear. I don't think that's generally the case but happens to be that way at their place.
I'm with Valerie- granite, at least the polished granite I have is very streaky/spotty and shows everything.
